Mr Mayur Shah was born and brought up in Kenya. He is a third generation Kenyan. In 1912, his grandfather left Jamnagar, Gujarat, for Nairobi, Kenya and settled there permanently. Mr. Rajesh Gunamal of Bora Industries, Tanzania, is brought up in Dar-es-Salaam. However, he did his schooling in Mumbai and thereafter went for higher studies in Economics to Manchester,U.K. His father is basically from Sind. After the partition in 1947, he left for Dar-es-Salaam,to join his sister who was then, working with Choitrams , a prominent Sindhi family with business interests in several cities of Africa and elsewhere.

Mr. Bharat Thakrar is a third generation Kenyan; his grandfather came from Porbandar in 1935 when both India and Kenya were under British rule. Both of his parents are Kenya born. After completing his schooling from Gwalior Scindia School he attended his A – level studies in Nairobi for two years. Mr. Bharat Thakrar is married since 27 years. He has two children.
