Mr Mayur Shah was born and brought up in Kenya. He is a third generation Kenyan. In 1912, his grandfather left Jamnagar, Gujarat, for Nairobi, Kenya and settled there permanently. Mr Shah’s elder brother Gulabbhai, his son, as well as Mr Shah’s own 26 year old son who has completed his studies in Economics from Manchester, UK, are all working together in their joint family business in Nairobi.
